Our Impact

Supporting downtown businesses
We offer free technical assistance workshops, 1:1 strategy consultations, retail design services, social media promotion, quarterly business owner meetings, and more to the 260+ businesses in our district.

Our Impact
Proudly serving a district of roughly 1 square mile — home to 260 storefronts, multiple cultural and historical sites, and nearly 1/3 of Salem’s population. Downtown Salem currently enjoys a business mix that is over 85% locally-owned, at least 40% microenterprises, and boasts a storefront vacancy rate of less than 2%.
Our numerous events throughout the year draw over 120,000 event attendees annually, feature 100+ small business vendors, and engage over 150+ businesses and community groups. Our volunteer ambassadors assist over 35,000 visitors annually at our October Info Booths.
